Suspended precariously over a deep ravine or mountain edge, this gravity-defying survival house is held up by heavy stone gothic arches and surrounded by cascading cherry blossom branches.
What This Idea Means
This design maximizes defense by eliminating ground-level access. The Gothic aesthetic is achieved through heavy structural supports (flying buttresses) anchoring the delicate pink house to the cliff face.
Needs to Make That Thing
- Supports: Deepslate Bricks, Iron Chains.
- Housing: Cherry Wood, Cherry Planks, Stripped Cherry Logs.
- Defenses: Iron Doors, Trapdoors, Ladders or Scaffolding.
How to Make It
- Locate a steep mountain cliff or deep survival ravine.
- Anchor large, curving support brackets into the cliff side using Deepslate Bricks.
- Build a flat Cherry Wood platform resting on these stone brackets.
- Construct a tall, slender, multi-story Gothic home on the platform, emphasizing verticality.
- Create an entrance via a retractable trapdoor bridge or a hidden water elevator dropping to the ravine floor.
Tips & Variations
- Waterfall Elevator: Run a column of water down from the house into the ravine, framed by Cherry Leaves, for safe, aesthetic vertical travel.
- Glass Flooring: Include Tinted Glass in the floor to safely observe mobs in the ravine below while maintaining a dark interior vibe.
