Introduction
A massive, square, heavily fortified keep that uses impenetrable Obsidian as its primary defense layer, wrapped in delicate Cherry wood detailing to soften the brutalist exterior.
What This Idea Means
This base is blast-proof. Designed for chaotic multiplayer servers, the Obsidian core ensures that no amount of TNT or creepers can breach your inner sanctum, while the Cherry exterior keeps it looking elegant.
Needs to Make That Thing
- Armor: Obsidian.
- Aesthetic: Cherry Planks, Cherry Stairs, Magenta Stained Glass.
- Defense: Iron Doors, Obsidian Roof Layers.
How to Make It
- Build a 15×15 solid Obsidian box, 3 blocks thick, leaving room only for Iron Doors.
- Once the indestructible core is finished, clad the entire exterior in Cherry Planks.
- Build decorative Gothic arches and window frames on the outside using Cherry Stairs and Slabs.
- Construct a false Cherry wood roof over the flat Obsidian ceiling.
- Set up an interior Nether Portal, utilizing the obsidian walls to hide the portal frame.
Tips & Variations
- Decoy Rooms: In multiplayer, build a fake treasure room on the outside Cherry layer, keeping your real diamonds safely inside the Obsidian core.
- Magenta Glass: Use Magenta Stained Glass over your arrow slits; it blends perfectly with the Cherry wood while allowing you to spot attackers.
