Introduction
Built directly over a flowing river, this long, elegant Gothic chateau utilizes dark Blackstone archways that allow the water to pass underneath, supporting a beautiful pink Cherry wood estate above.
What This Idea Means
This design incorporates natural water generation into the architecture. It provides an infinite water supply, excellent fishing spots directly from your living room, and a stunning architectural silhouette.
Needs to Make That Thing
- Bridge/Supports: Polished Blackstone Bricks.
- House: Cherry Planks, Stripped Dark Oak Logs.
- Utility: Fishing Rods, Barrels, Campfires.
How to Make It
- Find a wide river biome and build two thick Blackstone pillars on either bank.
- Connect them with a sweeping, pointed Gothic arch over the water.
- Build the foundation of the house on top of this arch.
- Construct the chateau using Cherry Planks, building a large, overhanging balcony that looks down the river.
- Use Barrels integrated into the walls for bulk storage, keeping the interior uncluttered.
Tips & Variations
- Trapdoor Floors: Use Spruce Trapdoors on the balcony floor so you can open them and fish directly into the river below from the safety of your base.
- Boat Dock: Build a small, recessed dock within one of the Blackstone pillars to safely store your boats.
