Introduction
A world dominated by a colossal World Tree trunk miles wide, where an entire gothic city of living wood, moss, and stone spires is carved directly into the living bark and sprawling root systems.
What This Idea Means
This layout eliminates traditional building foundations, placing an entire fantasy city inside living organic nature. It blends dark forest cottagecore with high gothic architecture.
Needs to Make That Thing
- Palette: Stripped Dark Oak, Wood Bark Blocks, Moss Blocks, Mud Bricks, Green Stained Glass.
- Foliage: Azalea Leaves, Cave Vines, Spore Blossoms, Hanging Roots.
How to Make It
- Build a massive hollow tree trunk structure (at least 50 blocks wide) using Dark Oak Logs and Wood Bark.
- Carve gothic pointed window openings and balconies straight out of the bark exterior walls.
- Build spiraling wooden walkways and flying buttresses wrapping around the outside of the trunk.
- Cover roof surfaces with Moss Blocks, Azalea Leaves, and trailing Cave Vines.
- Illuminate interior living spaces using Shroomlights and Ochre Froglights hidden behind leaf clusters.
Tips & Variations
- Organic Curves: Avoid flat vertical lines; curve tree branches outward to support overhanging wooden watchtowers.
- Spore Particles: Place Spore Blossoms inside interior ceilings so green dust particles fall through living wooden rooms constantly.
