13. The Sunken Royal Vault Realm
Introduction
A subterranean world of colossal underground caverns where an entire royal gothic city sits inside a massive gold and deepslate vault shaft extending down to bedrock.
What This Idea Means
This concept flips world building upside down, creating a vertical subterranean kingdom filled with rich gold accents, deepslate arches, and glowing treasure alcoves far below surface level.
Needs to Make That Thing
- Palette: Deepslate Bricks, Gold Blocks, Raw Gold Blocks, Smooth Quartz, Yellow Glass.
- Decor: Iron Bars, Chests, Anvils, Candles.
How to Make It
- Excavate an enormous cylindrical underground shaft (at least 30 blocks wide) extending down to deepslate layers.
- Line the shaft walls with spiraling gothic balcony walkways constructed from Deepslate Bricks.
- Build recessed vault chambers along the cavern walls secured by heavy Iron Bar gates.
- Construct a central floating royal spire in the middle of the shaft anchored by heavy iron chains.
- Decorate vault interiors with Gold Blocks, glowing Sea Lanterns, and stacked chests.
Tips & Variations
- Gold Pressure Plates: Place Gold Pressure Plates over light blocks along floor edges for sparkling luxury reflections.
- Subterranean Fog: Leave natural void fog or light smoke near the bedrock bottom to give the vault shaft immense depth.
