16. The Royal Aviary Spire Sanctuary

Introduction

A soaring world of open-air gothic towers designed specifically for winged creatures, featuring high pointed flight arches, interior roosting perches, and gilded birdcage balconies.

What This Idea Means

This concept prioritizes open-air sky architecture. It creates a sanctuary for birds and flying players (Elytra users), emphasizing high roosts, wide flight bays, and sky sightlines.

Needs to Make That Thing

  • Palette: Quartz Bricks, Birch Wood, Gold Bars, Smooth Quartz, Light Blue Glass.
  • Decor: Feather Displays, Leaf Blocks, Water Cauldrons, End Rods.

How to Make It

  1. Construct tall, slender circular towers using Quartz Bricks and Birch Wood.
  2. Build wide, unglazed pointed gothic arch openings along upper tower facades to allow free flight access.
  3. Extend horizontal perches across interior tower airspaces using Birch Fences and End Rods.
  4. Construct floor-to-ceiling gilded cages on balconies using Gold Bars and Sea Lanterns.
  5. Line interior walls with nesting nooks, Leaf Blocks, and shallow water drinking pools.

Tips & Variations

  • Living Aviary: Tame Parrots or Allays to inhabit the open aviary spires freely, flying between high roosting perches.
  • Elytra Launchpads: Build cantilevered wooden platforms extending out from upper flight bays for smooth Elytra takeoffs.
