15. The Ultimate Sneaker and Cleat Mudroom Locker
Muddy cleats, running shoes, and hiking boots have no place inside a clean home, but leaving them scattered by the garage door creates a major tripping hazard. Build or buy a mudroom-style locker system specifically for footwear. Each family member gets their own cubby with a boot tray at the bottom to catch mud, water, and melting snow. Add a bench on top of the cubbies to provide a comfortable place to sit while tying laces, and mount a few hooks above for sweaty jackets, gym bags, and activewear.
