14. Gothic Twisted Crown Half-Up
What This Idea Means
A quick, elegant style where side strands are rope-twisted toward the back and joined with a decorative skull or moon clasp.
How to Make It
- Twisting: Take a 1-inch section of hair from above each ear. Split each section into two strands and twist them together tightly (rope twist).
- Joining: Bring both twists to meet at the back center of the head.
- Clasp: Fasten the two twists together using a small gothic metal barrette or mini jaw clip.
Tips & Variations
- Add a third twist down the middle for a stacked rope look.
- Works seamlessly on both pin-straight and naturally wavy short hair.
